For a family making their choice from a bewildering variety of different programs and different promises, an education in what to look for in a program can save both money and heartbreak. Edgefield Recovery Center believes in treating clients with dignity and respect while engaging them in their treatment process. During the treatment of their addiction and/or mental health we will teach the tools necessary for a long and lasting life free from addiction.

One way we are able to show our respect for the clients we serve is to provide a place that is comfortable and serene. Edgefield is nestled on twenty-seven acres of large oak trees and a pecan orchard in Central Louisiana. The atmosphere is one that promotes a consciousness with a higher power allowing the client to begin the road to spiritual development. Long hallways and fenced in outdoor areas aren't our idea of a facility conducive to treatment.

With our team of licensed clinicians, an addictionologist, a psych nurse practitioner, family nurse practitioner, staff nurses and a physical trainer, our program meets the individual needs of each of our clients. We believe the longer a person stays engaged in the treatment process the greater chance for success in a lasting life free from drugs and alcohol.

Edgefield Recovery Center is a leading provider of addiction treatment services in the region specializing in addiction and mental health disorders. Edgefield provides extensive treatment services that focus on the medical, psychological, psychiatric, clinical, physical and spiritual aspects of one's recovery. Clients are also introduced to support groups such as Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous.

Edgefield Recovery Center's mission is to provide excellence in professional quality care for addiction and mental health disorders and to treat each client with integrity, compassion, and dignity. It is our goal to help the client become the happy, healthy, productive, compassionate, and vital person they desire to be.

We have 70 beds to serve adult men and women who are in need of addiction and mental health services as well as partial hospitalization.  We offer treatment of individuals with co-occurring diagnoses which means the individual suffers from both addiction and mental health issues. Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT) is also offered when medically indicated.

Relapse Prevention Planning:  Each client is required to complete a relapse prevention assessment, along with a relapse prevention plan to enable them to maintain their recovery and mental health stability.

Discharge Planning:  Our discharge planning team work to ensure client can find placement in the next level of care.  Edgefield believes that a continuum of care is imperative for a client to obtain and maintain long term recovery and good mental health.  This includes follow-up PCP, Outpatient, Sober Living, Halfway House for a stable living environment with a connection to maintain support in the community and doctors or nurse practitioners that can continue medications.
